Sacred Journey Yoga - "A Pathway to the Soul"

MY MISSION

I have always wanted to help people to “find themselves”.  To know their power… to know their strength, their grace and their innate beauty… to quiet that little voice inside that tells them they are not good enough…to connect to a power higher than themselves and gather strength….to stand in the front and quietly know that they are “all that”… to own their power and live in their truth. Yoga is the avenue that I have found to do this.  I love sharing what I have learned with my students.  I love creating a space that is sacred and safe.  A place, where even just for an hour, they can let go and just be their perfect selves, not a version that someone else has told them they should be.

In a Deep Yoga class, there is no comparison and no “perfect” posture.  You tune into your body and listen to what it tells you.  No two bodies are alike so why would we think that we would all do it exactly the same?  It’s not the perfection of the pose but staying present and breathing fully and deeply.

Yoga is a sacred, spiritual journey.  I am so honored to be able to help guide people on their journey and watch them blossom and grow.

Namaste,
Dianne

Graduate of Deep Yoga and certified by the Yoga Alliance

I am a graduate of Deep Yoga (www.deepyoga.com)  Deep Yoga Healing Arts Center at Ginseng Yoga in San Diego (www.ginseng.com) is an accredited yoga teacher training with the Yoga Alliance.   I have received my 200 hour certificate and am continuing my studies toward my 500 hour certificate.

My journey into yoga has been a series of starts and stops.  I felt guided to be of
service in some way, but the path wasn't so clear.  I hadn't "found myself" yet.  Through a series of random synergy, I found my way to Amanollah G.  I started doing yoga with him and then some life coaching.  He helped me in so many ways with his wisdom, his peace and his healing energy.  After about a year, Amanollah moved to Los Angeles where he has opened his own center.  I owe so much to this peaceful, beautiful man. Before he left, he led me to Terrie Darby who would become my "spiritual midwife". Without her, I believe I would not be this far in my journey.

Amanollah and I stayed in touch and in January of 2010 he invited me to a yoga workshop/retreat in Santa Barbara.  I hadn't been doing yoga but knew that I had to go.  After that beautiful weekend, I knew that yoga would be my path.  I was fortunate enough to find Deep Yoga and my amazing and wonderful teachers, Bhava Ram and Laura Plumb to whom I am eternally grateful. I started my teacher training in April, 2010 and graduated in September, 2010. I opened my studio in October, 2010.  The Deep Yoga training has changed my life.

After returning from India on March 10, things had shifted.  2010 had been a whirlwind for me.  My husband had 5 bypass surgery much to our surprise.  (I am happy to report that he is doing amazingly well and is very healthy and active again.) From April to September was my yoga teacher training.  In between, my father's health deteriorated and I made several trips back to Wisconsin.  He left us on Labor Day.  My husband and I finished building the studio and in October I started teaching classes.  I never had time to process any of these major things happening in my life and I didn't fully realize that until I got to India.

They say that going to India is life changing and for me it was.  Things became clearer and a new direction was layed out in front of me.  I will still be teaching, but hopefully in a much richer and fuller way.
